PART 6 E+W LOANS FOR LIVING COSTS

Students with reduced entitlement E+W

45.—(1) Subject to regulations 46 to 51, the maximum amount of loan for living costs for which a student with reduced entitlement qualifies in respect of an academic year of a course other than the final year of a course that is not an intensive course is—

(a) where the student falls within regulation 23(3), for such a student in—

(i) category 1, [F1 £2,699];

(ii) category 2, [F2 £5,058];

(iii) category 3, [F3 £3,598];

(iv) category 4, [F4 £3,598];

(v) category 5, [F5 £3,598].

(b) where the student falls within regulation 23(6), for such a student in—

(i) category 1, [F6 £2,699];

(ii) category 2, [F7 £5,058];

(iii) category 3, [F8 £4,304];

(iv) category 4, [F9 £4,304];

(v) category 5, [F10 £3,598].

(c) where the student applies for a loan for living costs and opts not to provide the information needed to calculate the household income, an amount equal to where—

X is, for such a student in—

(i) category 1, [F11 £4,263];

(ii) category 2, [F12 £7,716];

(iii) category 3,[F13 £6,567];

(iv) category 4, [F14 £6,567];

(v) category 5, [F15 £5,508];

Y is nil.

(2) Subject to regulations 46 to 51, the maximum amount of loan for living costs for which a student with reduced entitlement qualifies in respect of an academic year that is the final year of a course that is not an intensive course is—

(a) where the student falls within regulation 23(3), for such a student in—

(i) category 1, [F16 £2,052];

(ii) category 2, [F17 £3,869];

(iii) category 3, [F18 £2,804];

(iv) category 4, [F19 £2,804];

(v) category 5, [F20 £2,804].

(b) where the student falls within regulation 23(6), for such a student in—

(i) category 1, [F21 £2,052];

(ii) category 2, [F22 £3,869];

(iii) category 3, [F23 £3,146];

(iv) category 4, [F24 £3,146];

(v) category 5, [F25 £2,804].

(c) where the student applies for a loan for living costs and opts not to provide the information needed to calculate the household income an amount equal to where—

X is, for such a student in—

(i) category 1, [F26 £3,860];

(ii) category 2, [F27 £7,026];

(iii) category 3, [F28 £5,712];

(iv) category 4, [F29 £5,712];

(v) category 5, [F30 £5,102];

Y is nil.
