Defnyddir y term darpariaeth i ddisgrifio elfen ddiffiniadwy mewn darn o ddeddfwriaeth sy'n cael effaith ddeddfwriaethol – megis Rhan, Pennod neu adran. Mae fersiwn o ddarpariaeth yn rhagolygol naill ai:
- os nad yw'r ddarpariaeth (Rhan, Pennod neu adran) erioed wedi dod i rym neu;
- pan fo testun y ddarpariaeth wedi'i newid, ond nad oes dyddiad wedi'i bennu eto gan y person neu'r corff priodol i'r newidiadau hynny i ddod i rym.
Gall Gorchmynion Cychwyn a restrir yn y blwch 'Newidiadau i Ddeddfwriaeth' fel rhai sydd heb eu gwneud eto ddod â'r fersiwn ragolygol hon i rym.

(a)yn unol â chynllun gofal a chymorth y plentyn, a
(b)mewn ffordd syʼn cynnal, yn amddiffyn ac yn hybu diogelwch a llesiant y plentyn.

14.—(1) Rhaid iʼr darparwr awdurdod lleol roi trefniadau yn eu lle i sicrhau bod gan blant yr wybodaeth y mae ei hangen arnynt i wneud a chymryd rhan mewn penderfyniadau o ddydd i ddydd am y ffordd y darperir gofal a chymorth iddynt a sut y maent yn cael eu cefnogi i gyflawni eu canlyniadau personol.
(2) Rhaid iʼr wybodaeth a ddarperir fod ar gael mewn iaith, arddull, cyflwyniad a fformat syʼn briodol i blant o bob oedran.
(3) Rhaid iʼr darparwr awdurdod lleol roi trefniadau yn eu lle i sicrhau bod plant yn cael unrhyw gymorth syʼn angenrheidiol iʼw galluogi i ddeall yr wybodaeth a ddarperir.

16.—(1) Rhaid iʼr darparwr awdurdod lleol sicrhau bod anghenion iaith plant yn cael eu diwallu.
(2) Rhaid iʼr darparwr awdurdod lleol sicrhau y darperir mynediad i unrhyw gymhorthion a chyfarpar syʼn angenrheidiol i blant i hwylusoʼr ffordd y maent yn cyfathrebu ag eraill.

17.—(1) Rhaid iʼr darparwr awdurdod lleol roi trefniadau yn eu lle i sicrhau bod plant sydd wedi eu lleoli gan y darparwr yn cael eu trin â pharch a sensitifrwydd.
(2) Mae hyn yn cynnwys, ond nid ywʼn gyfyngedig i—
(a)parchu preifatrwydd ac urddas y plentyn,
(b)parchu hawliauʼr plentyn i gyfrinachedd,
(c)hybu ymreolaeth ac annibyniaeth y plentyn, a
(d)rhoi sylw i unrhyw nodweddion gwarchodedig perthnasol (fel yʼu diffinnir yn adran 4 o Ddeddf Cydraddoldeb 2010(1)) y plentyn.
