In regulation 1 (title, commencement and application), after paragraph (2) insert—

These Regulations do not apply to the provision of support to students in relation to a course which begins on or after 1 August 2018 unless Regulation 2(3) of the Education (Student Support) (Wales) Regulations 2018 applies to the course.
