A person may make an application to the Local Health Board to extend the relevant period no later than 5 months after the date of the grant of an application.

In accordance with regulation 23(3)(b)(ii) a person may apply for an extension of up to 3 months.

An application to the Local Health Board under this regulation must be made in writing and must provide reasons why an extension of the relevant period is sought.

Parts 1 and 3 of Schedule 3 specify the procedures to be followed by a Local Health Board when determining applications made under this regulation.

For the purposes of this regulation, “person” means the person who would be entitled to provide notification to a Local Health Board in accordance with regulation 23(2) of commencement of provision of pharmaceutical services.
