Amendment to the Welfare of Farmed Animals (Wales) Regulations 2007E+W

22.—(1) The Welfare of Farmed Animals (Wales) Regulations 2007 M1 are amended as follows.

(2) In Schedule 5A—

(a)in paragraph 1—

(i)in the definition of “official veterinarian”, for “Regulation 854/2004” substitute “ Regulation (EU) 2017/625 ”,

(ii)omit the definition of “Regulation 854/2004”, and

(iii)at the end insert—

““Regulation (EU) 2017/625” (“Rheoliad (EU) 2017/625”) means Regulation (EU) 2017/625 of the European Parliament and of the Council on official controls and other official activities performed to ensure the application of food and feed law, rules on animal health and welfare, plant health and plant protection products M2.”;

(b)in paragraph 15(1), for “Regulation 854/2004” substitute “ Regulation (EU) 2017/625 ”.
