The Corporate Joint Committees (General) (Wales) Regulations 2022

PART 1Introduction

Title and coming into force

1.—(1) The title of these Regulations is the Corporate Joint Committees (General) (Wales) Regulations 2022.

(2) These Regulations, other than the regulation mentioned in paragraph (3), come into force on 25 March 2022.

(3) Regulation 3(8) (annual reports by standards committees) comes into force on 6 May 2022.

Interpretation

2.  In these Regulations—

“the 1972 Act” (“Deddf 1972”) means the Local Government Act 1972(1);

“the 1980 Act” (“Deddf 1980”) means the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980(2);

“the 1989 Act” (“Deddf 1989”) means the Local Government and Housing Act 1989(3);

“the 2000 Act” (“Deddf 2000”) means the Local Government Act 2000(4);

“the 2003 Act” (“Deddf 2003”) means the Local Government Act 2003(5);

“corporate joint committee” (“cyd-bwyllgor corfforedig”) means a corporate joint committee established by regulations under Part 5 of the Local Government and Elections (Wales) Act 2021;

“the establishment Regulations” (“y Rheoliadau sefydlu”) means—

(a)

the North Wales Corporate Joint Committee Regulations 2021(6),

(b)

the Mid Wales Corporate Joint Committee Regulations 2021(7),

(c)

the South East Wales Corporate Joint Committee Regulations 2021(8), and

(d)

the South West Wales Corporate Joint Committee Regulations 2021(9).
