The Department of the Environment makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 40 of the Wildlife and Natural Environment Act (Northern Ireland) 2011(1).
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Wildlife and Natural Environment (2011 Act) (Commencement No.1) Order (Northern Ireland) 2011.
(2) In this Order—
“the Act” means the Wildlife and Natural Environment Act (Northern Ireland) 2011.
2. The day appointed for the coming into operation of section 35 of the Act is 13th June 2011.

This Order appoints 13th June 2011 as the day for the coming into operation of section 35 of the Wildlife and Natural Environment Act (Northern Ireland) 2011. Section 35 repeals Part 4 of the Miscellaneous Transferred Excise Duties Act (Northern Ireland) 1972(2), which required anyone who hunted game species or was a game dealer to be licensed.
