Coming into operation in accordance with regulation 1(2)
The Department of Health, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(1) and (2)(a) of the Period Products (Free Provision) Act (Northern Ireland) 2022(1) and after consultation in accordance with section 2(8)(a) of that Act, makes the following Regulations.
1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Period Products (Department of Health Specified Public Service Bodies) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2025.
(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the day following the date on which they are made.
(3) In these Regulations “the Act” means the Period Products (Free Provision) Act (Northern Ireland) 2022.
2. The public service bodies to which the duty in section 2(1) of the Act applies are specified as follows—
(1) the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust(2);
(2) the Northern Health and Social Care Trust(3);
(3) the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust(4);
(4) the Southern Health and Social Care Trust(5); and
(5) the Western Health and Social Care Trust(6).

These Regulations specify those public service bodies, falling within the functions of the Department of Health, that must ensure that period products are obtainable free of charge by persons in their premises who need to use them.
