Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations increase the charges which may be made by blood samplers under the Blood Tests (Evidence of Paternity) Regulations 1971 in respect of blood tests carried out for the purpose of determining paternity in civil proceedings. These charges are based upon increases in medical fees proposed by the Doctors and Dentists Review Body and accepted by Her Majesty’s Government. They were last increased in December 1991(S.I. 1991/2472).

(3)

S.I. 1971/1861. Schedule 2 was substituted by S.I. 1991/2472.
