4.—(1) There is hereby constituted for the purposes of section 19(2)(c) of the Act in relation to Strathclyde Police a joint police board consisting of 34 members to be appointed from the membership of the constituent authorities as follows:—
(a)2 shall be appointed by Argyll and Bute Council;
(b)2 shall be appointed by Dumbarton and Clydebank Council;
(c)8 shall be appointed by City of Glasgow Council;
(d)2 shall be appointed by East Dunbartonshire Council;
(e)2 shall be appointed by Inverclyde Council;
(f)4 shall be appointed by North Lanarkshire Council;
(g)4 shall be appointed by South Lanarkshire Council;
(h)2 shall be appointed by Renfrewshire Council;
(i)2 shall be appointed by East Renfrewshire Council;
(j)2 shall be appointed by East Ayrshire Council;
(k)2 shall be appointed by North Ayrshire Council; and
(l)2 shall be appointed by South Ayrshire Council.
(2) The board shall be incorporated with a common seal and shall be known as the Strathclyde Joint Police Board.
