The Secretary of State, in exercise of his powers under sections 51(2) and 67(5) of the Local Government Act 1972(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order which gives effect to proposals submitted to him under sections 47, 48(1) and 51(1) of that Act, more than six weeks before the making of this Order, by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England:
1. This Order may be cited as the District of Bromsgrove (Electoral Arrangements) Order 1995, and shall come into force on 1st February 1995.
2. In this Order—
“the map” means the first of 3 maps prepared by the Department of the Environment, marked “Maps of the Hereford and Worcester and West Midlands (County Boundaries) Order 1993”(2), and deposited in accordance with regulation 5 of the Local Government Area Changes Regulations 1976(3); and
“ward” means a ward of the district of Bromsgrove in the county of Hereford and Worcester.
3.—(1) There shall be created a new ward which shall bear the name of the Uffdown and Waseley ward, and such ward shall consist of the existing areas of the wards of Uffdown and Waseley as marked on the map.
(2) The wards of Uffdown and Waseley shall be abolished.
(3) From 1st February 1995 until 4th May 1995 the Uffdown and Waseley ward shall be represented by the persons representing the Uffdown and Waseley wards immediately before 1st February 1995; thereafter it shall be represented by 3 district councillors.

This Order gives effect to proposals submitted to the Secretary of State by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England. It creates a new ward of Uffdown and Waseley of the district of Bromsgrove, to be represented by 3 district councillors.
1972 c. 70. Sections 46 to 52 inclusive of this Act were repealed by the Local Government Act 1992 (c. 19.) but are continued in effect by section 24(3) of the 1992 Act where any report or proposals were submitted by the Commission to the Secretary of State under Part IV of the 1972 Act before 31 October 1992.
