Whereas the council of the London borough of Bromley has applied to the Secretary of State for Transport for an order to be made under section 76 of the Road Traffic Act 1991(1) and the Secretary of State has consulted the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis in accordance with section 76(2) of that Act:
NOW, the Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 76(1) and section 77(6) of Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—
1. This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Special Parking Area) (London Borough of Bromley) (Amendment) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 2nd February 1998.
2.—(1) The Road Traffic (Special Parking Areas) (London Borough of Bromley, Hammersmith and Fulham and Lewisham) (London Borough of Wandsworth) (Amendment) Order 1993(2) shall be amended as follows.
(2) For paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 (Roads in the London borough of Bromley excluded from the special parking area) there shall be substituted—
“2. A21 between the boundary of Greater London at Sevenoaks Road and the borough boundary with the London borough of Lewisham at Bromley Hill excluding the service road at Pratts Bottom between Broke Farm Drive and Rushmore Hill.”

This Order amends the Road Traffic (Special Parking Areas) (London Boroughs of Bromley, Hammersmith and Fulham and Lewisham) (London Borough of Wandsworth) (Amendment) Order 1993 so far as it designates a special parking area in the London borough of Bromley. The effect of the amendment is that a specified service road alongside the A21 is no longer excluded from that area.
