1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Coal Industry Act 1994 (Commencement No. 8 and Transitional Provision) Order 2014.
(2) In this Order, “the Act” means the Coal Industry Act 1994.
2. Subject to article 3, the following provisions come into force on 28th April 2014—
(a)section 67(8) of the Act, so far as it relates to provisions coming into force by virtue of paragraph (b);
(b)Part 3 of Schedule 11 to the Act, so far as it relates to the repeals set out in the Schedule to this Order.
3. Any redundant mineworkers and concessionary coal payments scheme made under, or continued in force by virtue of, section 7 of the Coal Industry Act 1977(1) continues to have effect for the purpose of the recovery of any overpayments, notwithstanding the repeal of that provision.
