The following provisions of the Coal Industry Act 1994 have been brought into force by commencement order made before the date of this Order:

In addition, the provisions specified in section 68(2) of the Act came into force on 31st October 1994 by virtue of the Coal Industry (Restructuring Date) Order 1994 (S.I. 1994/2553) and the provisions specified in section 68(3) of the Act came into force on 27th March 2004 by virtue of The Coal Industry Act 1994 (Commencement No.7) and Dissolution of the British Coal Corporation Order 2004 (S.I. 2004/144).
