The Office for Students, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 42(1) of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017(1), makes the following Order.
The Office for Students has requested advice from the relevant body regarding the quality of, and standards applied to, higher education provided by the provider, and has had regard to that advice in accordance with sections 46(1)(b), and 46(7) of the aforementioned Act.
1. This Order may be cited as the Power to Award Degrees etc. (TEC Partnership) Order 2024 and shall come into force on 31st October 2024.
2. TEC Partnership shall be competent to grant foundation degree only awards of the kind mentioned in section 42(2)(c) of the said Act for a fixed two-year term beginning on 31st October 2024 and expiring on 30th October 2026.
3. TEC Partnership shall be competent to grant up to and including bachelor’s degree awards of the kind mentioned in section 42(2)(c) of the said Act for a fixed term beginning on 31st October 2024 and expiring on 30th October 2026.

This Order, made under section (42)(1) of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017 authorises TEC Partnership with the power to grant foundation degree only awards and awards up to and including bachelor’s degree awards for a fixed term expiring on 30th October 2026. This Order will come into force on 31st October 2024.
