Appendix 4 Standard body and semitrailer configurations

1. Vehicles measured in the constant speed test according to section 3 of this Annex have to fulfill the requirements on standard bodies and standard semitrailer as described in this Appendix. U.K.

2. The applicable standard body or semitrailer shall be determined from Table 8. U.K.

3. The standard bodies B1, B2, B3, B4 and B5 shall be constructed as a hard shell body in dry-out box design. They shall be equipped with two rear doors and without any side doors. The standard bodies shall not be equipped with tail lifts, front spoilers or side fairings for reduction of aerodynamic drag. The specifications of the standard bodies are given in: U.K.

Mass indications as given in Table 9 to Table 13 are not subject to inspection for air drag testing.

4. The type and chassis requirements for the standard semitrailer ST1 are listed in Table 14. The specifications are given in Table 15. U.K.

5. All dimensions and masses without tolerances mentioned explicitly shall be in line with Regulation (EC) No 1230/2012, Annex 1, Appendix 2 (i.e. in the range of ± 3 % of the target value). U.K.
