Article 3

SCHEDULEMOTOR VEHICLES EXCEPTED FROM THE PROHIBITION IN ARTICLE 2

1.  A motor vehicle being used for access to premises situated on or adjacent to the length of road.

2.  A motor vehicle being used for police, military, ambulance or fire brigade purposes or in an emergency by a medical practitioner.

3.  A motor vehicle being used on or adjacent to the length of road in pursuance of statutory powers and duties by or on behalf of a government department, district council or statutory undertaker.

4.  A motor vehicle being used in connection with the laying, erection, alteration or repair of any telecommunication apparatus as defined in section 4(3) of the Telecommunications Act 1984(1).

5.  A motor vehicle being used for the purpose of delivering or collecting postal packets.

6.  A motor vehicle being used for the conveyance of goods to or from premises situated on or adjacent to the length of road, being goods which by reason of their size or weight could not reasonably be conveyed to or from such premises otherwise than by means of a motor vehicle and provided always that the motor vehicle shall not be permitted to use the length of road for any longer period than may be necessary for the conveyance, loading or unloading of those goods.

7.  A motor vehicle being used in connection with a funeral from a dwellinghouse on or adjacent to the length of road.

8.  A motor vehicle being used in connection with any building operation or demolition on or adjacent to the length of road.
