POLICE
The Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000 (Commencement No. 3 and Transitional Provisions) Order 2001
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 79 of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000(), hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000 (Commencement No. 3 and Transitional Provisions) Order 2001.
2. The provisions of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000 specified in the Schedule to this Order shall come into operation on 4th November 2001.
3. Section 57 of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000 does not require the Board to issue a report relating to a period before section 2 of the Act comes into force.

Explanatory Note
This Commencement Order which is the third to be made under the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000, brings into operation on 4th November 2001 those provisions of the Act set out in the Schedule to the Order.
