1. These Regulations may be cited as the Agriculture (Student fees) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021 and shall come into operation on the 2nd August 2021.
2. The Agriculture (Student fees) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007(3) shall be amended as provided by regulation 3.
3. In regulation 4, for paragraph (8)(4) substitute—
“(8) Subject to regulation 5, where a person has been granted limited leave to enter or remain (“pre-settled” status) or indefinite leave to enter or remain (“settled” status) under the EU Settlement Scheme contained in Appendix EU to the immigration rules(5), the fee payable to the Department is set out in paragraph (1).”

These Regulations amend the Agriculture (Student fees) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007.
Regulation 3 replaces regulation 4(8) with an enhanced definition of the terms ‘EU Settlement Scheme’, ‘pre-settled’ status and ‘settled’ status. The EU Settlement Scheme referred is provided under Appendix EU to the immigration rules.
