Private Hire Vehicles (London) Act 1998

An Act to provide for the licensing and regulation of private hire vehicles, and drivers and operators of such vehicles, within the metropolitan police district and the City of London; and for connected purposes.

Be it enacted by the Queen’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
Extent Information
E1This Act extends only to England and Wales but any provision which amends or repeals any other Act has the same extent as the provision being amended or repealed, see s. 40(3)(4)
