Regulation 3(1)(a)

SCHEDULE 1SHEEP AND GOATS

PART IRECOGNITION OF BREEDERS' ORGANISATIONS

In order to be recognised as a recognised organisation, an organisation shall satisfy the criteria specified in the Annex to Commission Decision 90/254/EEC (OJ No. L145, 8.6.90, p.30) laying down the criteria for approval of breeders' organisations and associations which establish or maintain flock books for pure bred breeding sheep and goats.

Regulation 3(3)(a)

PART IICRITERIA FOR ENTRY IN FLOCK BOOK

In order to be entered in a flock book, sheep and goats shall satisfy the criteria specified in Commission Decision 90/255/EEC (OJ No. L145, 8.6.90, p.32) laying down the criteria governing entry in flock books for pure bred breeding sheep and goats.

Regulation 3(4)(a)

PART IIIZOOTECHNICAL CERTIFICATE

The minimum information to be contained in a zootechnical certificate in relation to sheep and goats shall be that specified in Commission Decision 90/258/EEC (OJ No. L145, 8.6.90, p.39) laying down the zootechnical certificates for pure bred breeding sheep and goats, their semen, ova and embryos.

Regulation 4

PART IVPERFORMANCE MONITORING AND GENETIC VALUE CRITERIA FOR SHEEP AND GOATS

The performance monitoring methods and the methods for assessing the genetic value of sheep and goats shall be those specified in the Annex to Commission Decision 90/256/EEC (OJ No. L145, 8.6.90, p.35) laying down methods for monitoring performance and assessing the genetic value of pure bred breeding sheep and goats.

Regulation 5

PART VCRITERIA FOR ACCEPTANCE FOR BREEDING PURPOSES

Recognised organisations shall accept for breeding purposes sheep and goats which satisfy the criteria specified in Commission Decision 90/257/EEC (OJ No. L145, 8.6.90, p.38) laying down the criteria for the acceptance for breeding purposes of pure bred breeding sheep and goats and the use of their semen, ova and embryos.

PART IRECOGNITION OF BREEDERS' ORGANISATIONS

In order to be recognised as a recognised organisation, an organisation shall satisfy the criteria specified in the Annex to Commission Decision 89/501/EEC (OJ No. L247, 23.8.89, p19) laying down the criteria for approval and supervision of breeders' associations and breeding organisations which establish or maintain herd books for pure bred breeding pigs and in the Annex to Commission Decision 89/504/EEC (OJ No. L247, 23.3.89, p.31) laying down the criteria for approval and supervision of breeders' associations, breeding organisations and private undertakings which establish or maintain registers for hybrid breeding pigs.

Regulation 3(3)(b)

PART IICRITERIA FOR ENTRY IN HERD BOOK

In order to be entered in a herd book, pigs shall satisfy the criteria specified in Commission Decision 89/502/EEC (OJ No. L247, 23.8.89, p21) laying down the criteria governing entry in herd books for pure bred breeding pigs and in Commission Decision 89/505/EEC (OJ No. L247, 23.8.89, p.33) laying down the criteria governing entry in registers for hybrid breeding pigs.

Regulation 3(4)(b)

PART IIIZOOTECHNICAL CERTIFICATE

The minimum information to be contained in a zootechnical certificate in relation to pure bred breeding pigs shall be that specified in Commission Decision 89/503/EEC (OJ No. L247, 23.8.89, p.22) laying down the certificate for pure bred breeding pigs, their semen, ova and embryos and in Commission Decision 89/506/EEC (OJ No. L247, 23.8.89, p.34) laying down the certificate of hybrid breeding pigs, their semen, ova and embryos.

Regulation 4

PART IVPERFORMANCE MONITORING AND GENETIC VALUE CRITERIA FOR PIGS

The performance monitoring methods and the methods for assessing the genetic value of pure bred and hybrid breeding pigs shall be those specified in the Annex to Commission Decision 89/507/EEC (OJ No. L247, 23.8.89, p.43) laying down methods for monitoring performance and assessing the genetic value of pure bred and hybrid breeding pigs.

Regulation 5

PART VCRITERIA FOR ACCEPTANCE FOR BREEDING PURPOSES

Recognised organisations shall accept for breeding purposes pure-bred breeding pigs which satisfy the criteria specified in Council Directive 90/118/EEC (OJ No. L71, 17.3.90, p.34) on the acceptance of pure bred breeding pigs for breeding, and hybrid breeding pigs which satisfy the criteria specified in Council Directive 90/119/EEC (OJ No. L71, 17.3.90, p.36) on hybrid breeding pigs for breeding.

PART IRECOGNITION OF BREEDERS' ORGANISATIONS

In order to be recognised as a recognised organisation, an organisation shall satisfy the criteria specified in the Annex to Commission Decision 84/247/EEC (OJ No. L125, 12.5.84, p58) laying down the criteria for the recognition of breeders' organisations and associations which maintain or establish herd books for pure bred breeding animals of the bovine species.

Regulation 3(3)(c)

PART IICRITERIA FOR ENTRY IN HERD BOOK

In order to be entered in a herd book, bovines shall satisfy the criteria specified in Commission Decision 84/419/EEC (OJ No. L237, 5.9.84, p11) laying down the criteria for entering cattle in herd books.

Regulation 3(4)(c)

PART IIIZOOTECHNICAL CERTIFICATE

The minimum information to be contained in a zootechnical certificate in relation to bovines shall be that specified in Commission Decision 86/404/EEC (OJ No. L233, 20.8.86, p.19) laying down the specimen and the particulars to be shown on the pedigree certificate of pure bred breeding animals of the bovine species.

Regulation 4

PART IVPERFORMANCE MONITORING AND GENETIC VALUE CRITERIA FOR BOVINES

The performance monitoring methods and methods for assessing bovines' genetic value shall be those specified in the Annex to Commission Decision 86/130/EEC (OJ No. L101, 17.4.86, p.37) laying down performance monitoring methods and methods for assessing cattle’s genetic value for pure bred breeding animals of the bovine species.

Regulation 5

PART VCRITERIA FOR ACCEPTANCE FOR BREEDING PURPOSES

Recognised organisations shall accept for breeding purposes bovines which satisfy the criteria specified in Council Directive 87/328/EEC (OJ No. L167, 26.6.87, p.54) on the acceptance for breeding purposes of pure bred breeding animals of the bovine species.
