Local government

Education, child care etc
The proprietor or governing body of an independent school within the meaning given by section 135(1) of the Education (Scotland) Act 1980(1).
The proprietor or governing body of a grant-aided school within the meaning given by that section.
The proprietor or governing body of a post-16 education body within the meaning of the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 2005.
Health and social care
A Health Board constituted under section 2(1)(a) of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978(2).
A Special Health Board constituted under section 2(1)(b) of that Act.
Healthcare Improvement Scotland.
Police
The Scottish Police Authority.”.

They apply regardless of whether the regulation originates from a domestic or international source and can accompany primary (Acts etc) and secondary legislation (SIs). An Impact Assessment allows those with an interest in the policy area to understand:
