The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 10(3)(a) and 86(2) of the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000(1) and all other powers enabling them to do so.
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Adults with Incapacity (Supervision of Welfare Guardians etc. by Local Authorities) (Scotland) Amendment (No. 2) Regulations 2014 and come into force on 12th August 2014.
2. In regulation 2A(5)(a) of the Adults with Incapacity (Supervision of Welfare Guardians etc. by Local Authorities) (Scotland) Regulations 2002(2) (variation or cessation of local authorities duties), for “regulation 2(1)(b)” substitute “regulation 2(1)”.

These Regulations amend the Adults with Incapacity (Supervision of Welfare Guardians etc. by Local Authorities) (Scotland) Regulations 2002 (“the principal Regulations”) to correct an erroneous cross-reference inserted into the principal Regulations by the Adults with Incapacity (Supervision of Welfare Guardians etc. by Local Authorities) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2014.
S.S.I. 2002/95; regulation 2A(5) was inserted by S.S.I. 2014/123. There is another amending instrument which is not relevant.
