The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 55(2) of the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973, hereby makes the following Order:—
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973 (Commencement) Order 1973.
(2) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply to this Order as it applies to an Act of Parliament.
2. The Matrimonial Causes Act 1973 shall come into operation on 1st January 1974.
