The Secretary of State for Social Services, with the consent of the Treasury, in exercise of powers conferred by section 1 of the Polish Resettlement Act 1947, and now vested in her(1), and of all other powers enabling her in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—
1.—(1)
(2) The rules for the construction of Acts of Parliament contained in the Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply in relation to this Order and in relation to the revocation effected by it as if this Order and the provision in the Scheme revoked by it were Acts of Parliament and as if the revocation were a repeal.
2. For Table III in Schedule (equivalent British ranks of members of the Polish forces) to the Scheme there shall be substituted the Table set out in the Schedule to this Order.

This Order amends the Pensions (Polish Forces) Scheme 1964 by substituting a fresh Table III in Schedule 1 thereto wherein the equivalent British status of ranks of women members of the Polish forces is specified. The Order is made in consequence of amendments, effective from 21st July 1974, to the Royal Warrant dated 19th September 1964, which is applied by the above Scheme, whereby rank additions for women members of the forces are raised to the same level as corresponding male ranks.
