1. These regulations may be cited as the Town and Country Planning (Minerals) Regulations 1982 and shall come into operation on the day after the day on which they have been approved by resolution of each House of Parliament.
2. The regulations specified in the Schedule hereto (which relate to the payment of compensation for planning decisions in relation to certain applications for mining operations and which apply with modifications the provisions of section 79 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1947(1) and sections 153 and 164(1) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1971) are hereby revoked.
