SCHEDULETHE CONTACT LENS (QUALIFICATIONS ETC.) (AMENDMENT) RULES 1989
The General Optical Council, in exercise of their powers under sections 25(1)(e), 25(3A) and 25(4) of the Opticians Act 1958, hereby make the following Rules:–
1. These Rules may be cited as the Contact Lens (Qualifications etc.) (Amendment) Rules 1989.
2. The Contact Lens (Qualifications etc.) Rules 1988 (scheduled to the General Optical Council (Contact Lens (Qualifications etc.) Rules) Order of Council 1988(1) shall be amended by the addition to Section B of Appendix A to the Rules of the following:–
| Contact Lens Certificate of the Association of British Dispensing Chemists | FBDO(CL) |
| Contact Lens Practice (Supplementary) Qualification of the British College of Optometrists: | |
| MBCO |
| FBCO |
3. These Rules shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1989.
