The Artificial Insemination (Cattle and Pigs) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1992

Title, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Artificial Insemination (Cattle and Pigs) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1992 and shall come into force on 12 November 1992.

(2) In these Regulations “the principal Regulations”means the Artificial Insemination (Cattle and Pigs) (Fees) Regulations 1987(1) .

Amendment of the principal Regulations

2.  The principal Regulations shall be amended in accordance with regulations 3 to 5 below.

3.  In regulation 3 (payment of fees)—

(a) in paragraph (1) there shall be inserted at the beginning the words “Subject to paragraph (1A) below,”;

(b) after paragraph (1) there shall be inserted the following paragraph—

“(1A) Where—

(a) an examination in connection with an application for a licence referred to in paragraph 5, 6 or 7 of Schedule 1 or an examination referred to in paragraph 13, 15 or 16 of that Schedule is carried out on premises on the same occasion as such an examination on other premises within a five mile radius of the first-mentioned premises, and

(b) the fees payable under paragraph (1) above in respect of both applications or examinations are payable by the same person, the fee payable in connection with the application for a licence of the second-mentioned premises or the examination of the second-mentioned premises, as the case may be, shall be reduced by £29 plus one third of the remainder of the sum that would otherwise have been payable.”

4.  For the provisions of Schedule 1 (fees in respect of matters arising under the principal cattle Regulations) there shall be substituted the provisions of Schedule 1 to these Regulations.

5.  For the provisions of Schedule 2 (fees in respect of matters arising under the principal pig Regulations) there shall be substituted the provisions of Schedule 2 to these Regulations. Revocation

6.  The Artificial Insemination (Cattle and Pigs) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1988(2) are hereby revoked.
