The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions and the Secretary of State for Wales in exercise of their powers under section 75 of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991(1), and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:—
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Street Works (Inspection Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1998 and shall come into force on 1st May 1998.
2. In regulation 3(1) of the Street Works (Inspection Fees) Regulations 1992(2) for the figure of “£12.50” there shall be substituted “£14.50”.

These amendment Regulations provide for an increase in fee to £14.50 (previously £12.50) payable by undertakers for inspections of their work by street authorities under regulation 3(1) of the Street Works (Inspection Fees) Regulations 1992 (S.I. 1992/1688).
