The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 144(1) of the Magistrates' Courts Act 1980(1) as extended by section 18(1) of the Maintenance Orders (Reciprocal Enforcement) Act 1972(2), and after consultation with the Rule Committee, appointed under the said section 144(1), makes the following Rules:
1980 c. 43. Section 144(1) was amended by paragraphs 95 and 116 of Schedule 13 to the Access to Justice Act 1999 (c. 22).
1972 c. 18. Section 18(1) was amended by paragraph 106 of Schedule 7 to the Magistrates' Courts Act 1980.
