The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by article 97(1) of the Air Navigation Order 2016 M1.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) (Amendment) Regulations 2019 and come into force on 15th May 2019.

2. The Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) Regulations 2002 M2 are amended by substituting for the definition of “Technical Instructions” in regulation 3(1)—
““Technical Instructions” means the 2019-2020 English language edition of the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air M3, approved and published by decision of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organisation;”.

These Regulations further amend the Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) Regulations 2002.
The definition of “Technical Instructions” is replaced by a definition referring to the 2019-2020 English language edition of the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air, approved and published by decision of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
The Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) (Amendment) Regulations 2017 are revoked.
