The number of seating positions to be mentioned shall be the one when the vehicle is in motion. A range can be specified in case of modular arrangement.

‘ R-point ’ or ‘ seating reference point ’ means a design point defined by the vehicle manufacturer for each seating position and established with respect to the three-dimensional reference system as specified in Annex III to Council Directive 77/649/EEC ( OJ L 267, 19.10.1977, p. 1 ).
