Commission Regulation (EC) No 1003/2005 of 30 June 2005 implementing Regulation (EC) No 2160/2003 as regards a Community target for the reduction of the prevalence of certain salmonella serotypes in breeding flocks of Gallus gallus and amending Regulation (EC) No 2160/2003 (Text with EEA relevance) (repealed)

1.The Community target for the reduction of Salmonella enteritidis, Salmonella hadar, Salmonella infantis, Salmonella typhimurium and Salmonella virchow in breeding flocks of Gallus gallus shall be a reduction of the maximum percentage of adult breeding flocks comprising at least 250 birds remaining positive to 1 % or less by 31 December 2009.
However, for Member States with fewer than 100 breeding flocks, not more than one adult breeding flock shall remain positive.
2.The testing scheme to verify the achievement of the Community target is set out in the Annex.
The Commission shall review the Community target set out in Article 1 in the light of the results of the first year of implementation of the national control programmes approved in accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 2160/2003.
In Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 2160/2003, the text in column 4 of the first row is replaced by the following:
‘18 months after the date of entry into force of this Regulation.’
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
It shall apply from 1 July 2005.
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
