Article 3U.K.F1... Third countries and parts of the territory of third countries from which the entry of equidae into [F2Great Britain] is authorised

1.[F3The appropriate authority] shall authorise the entry into [F4Great Britain] of consignments of equidae from [F5such of the third countries] F6... listed in [F7column 2] of the table in Annex I [F8or, where regionalisation is applied, such parts of the territory of those third countries, as the Secretary of State, with the consent of the Scottish Ministers (in relation to Scotland) and the Welsh Ministers (in relation to Wales), may specify in a document published for the purposes of this paragraph] F9..., as follows:

(a)the temporary admission of registered horses as indicated [F10by the Secretary of State, with the consent of the Scottish Ministers (in relation to Scotland) and the Welsh Ministers (in relation to Wales), in a document published for the purposes of this point], and accompanied by an individual health certificate drawn up in accordance with the [F11relevant certificate, in the form published by the appropriate authority from time to time];

(b)the transit of equidae as indicated [F12by the Secretary of State, with the consent of the Scottish Ministers (in relation to Scotland) and the Welsh Ministers (in relation to Wales), in a document published for the purposes of this point], and accompanied by an individual health certificate drawn up in accordance with the [F11relevant certificate, in the form published by the appropriate authority from time to time];

(c)the re-entry of registered horses for racing, competition and cultural events after temporary export as indicated [F13by the Secretary of State, with the consent of the Scottish Ministers (in relation to Scotland) and the Welsh Ministers (in relation to Wales), in a document published for the purposes of this point], and accompanied by an individual health certificate drawn up in accordance with the appropriate [F11relevant certificate, in the form published by the appropriate authority from time to time];

(d)the import of registered horses as indicated [F14by the Secretary of State, with the consent of the Scottish Ministers (in relation to Scotland) and the Welsh Ministers (in relation to Wales), in a document published for the purposes of this point], and accompanied by an individual health certificate drawn up in accordance with the [F11relevant certificate, in the form published by the appropriate authority from time to time];

(e)the import of a consignment of equidae for slaughter as indicated [F15by the Secretary of State, with the consent of the Scottish Ministers (in relation to Scotland) and the Welsh Ministers (in relation to Wales), in a document published for the purposes of this point], and accompanied by a health certificate drawn up in accordance with the [F11relevant certificate, in the form published by the appropriate authority from time to time];

(f)the import of registered equidae and equidae for breeding and production as indicated [F16by the Secretary of State, with the consent of the Scottish Ministers (in relation to Scotland) and the Welsh Ministers (in relation to Wales) in a document published for the purposes of this point], and accompanied by an individual health certificate drawn up in accordance with the [F11relevant certificate, in the form published by the appropriate authority from time to time].

2.The competent authority of the third country of dispatch shall apply the measures necessary in order to comply with the specific conditions or temporal limitations indicated for that country [F17by the Secretary of State, with the consent of the Scottish Ministers (in relation to Scotland) and the Welsh Ministers (in relation to Wales), in a document published for the purposes of this paragraph].
