Prospective

10.  In section 139B(6)(1) (effect of alterations affecting state pension credit), in the definition of “war widow’s or widower’s pension”—N.I.

(a)in paragraph (a), for “any widow’s or widower's” there shall be substituted “any widow's, widower’s or surviving civil partner's”; and

(b)in paragraph (b), for “widow or widower” there shall be substituted “widow, widower or surviving civil partner”.

Section 139B was inserted by paragraph 15 of Schedule 2 to the State Pension Credit Act (Northern Ireland) 2002 (c. 14 (N.I)). The definition of “war widow’s or widower’s pension” in subsection (6) was amended by paragraph 205 of Schedule 6 to the Income Tax (Earnings and Pensions) Act 2003 (c. 1)
