(1)The Registrar General may provide to [F1any of the following persons] any information to which this section applies.
[F2(a)the Welsh Ministers,
(b)a Special Health Authority which has functions that are exercisable in relation to Wales,
(c)a Local Health Board,
(d) an NHS trust established under section 18, and
(e)such other persons as the Welsh Ministers may specify in a direction.]
(2)Any information provided under subsection (1) must be provided in such form as appears to the Registrar General appropriate for the purpose of assisting [F3the person to whom the information is provided] in the performance of [F4functions exercisable by the person] in relation to the health service.
(3)This section applies to any information—
(a)entered in any register kept under the Births and Deaths Registration Act 1953 (c. 20),
(b)entered in the Adopted Children Register maintained by the Registrar General under the Adoption and Children Act 2002 (c. 38), or
(c)which is kept by the Registrar General under any other enactment and relates to any birth or death.
(4)“Enactment” includes an enactment contained in subordinate legislation.
