Immigration Act 2016, Section 71 is up to date with all changes known to be in force on or before 09 March 2025. There are changes that may be brought into force at a future date. Changes that have been made appear in the content and are referenced with annotations.
(1)Subsection (2) applies if—
(a)a local authority F1... (“the first authority”) requests another local authority F1... (“the second authority”) to enter into arrangements under section 69, and
(b)the second authority does not comply with the first authority's request.
(2)The Secretary of State may direct the second authority to provide the first authority and the Secretary of State with written reasons for its failure to comply with the request.
(3)In this section “local authority” has the same meaning as in section 69.
