R1.—(1) These Regulations apply to members who are or have been practitioners as if they were officers employed by the relevant [F2Local Health Board][F3or [F4the National Health Service Commissioning Board]], but with the modifications described in Schedule 2.
(2) These Regulations apply to members who are or have been [F5specialist trainees in general practice] as if they were whole–time officers employed by the [F6relevant employing authority].
