3.—(1) [F1Paragraph (2)] applies to each of the following fuels—
(a)bioethanol;
(b)biodiesel;
(c)any blend containing more than [F210%] by volume of [F3bioethanol].
[F4(d)any blend containing more than 7% by volume of biodiesel.]
(2) No person shall sell, or offer for sale, to the ultimate consumer any fuel to which [F5this paragraph] applies, unless the words, “Not suitable for all vehicles: consult vehicle manufacturer before use” are displayed prominently on any dispenser from which such fuel is sold or offered for sale to the ultimate consumer.
[F6(3) No person shall sell, or offer for sale, to the ultimate consumer before 1st April 2010 any blend containing more than 5% but not more than 7% by volume of biodiesel unless the words “Contains up to 7% biodiesel” are displayed prominently on any dispenser from which such fuel is sold or offered for sale to the ultimate consumer.]
[F7(4) A person must not sell, or offer for sale, to the ultimate consumer any blend containing more than 5% but not more than 10% by volume of bioethanol, unless the words “Suitable for most petrol vehicles: check before use” are displayed prominently on any dispenser from which such blend is sold or offered for sale to the ultimate consumer.]
