7.—(1) Until section 13 (Entitlement to carry on a reserved legal activity) comes into force a reference to an authorised person in section 1 and in the definition of “consumers” in section 207 is to be treated as a reference to a person who will be an authorised person on the coming into force of section 13.

(2) Until section 1159 of the Companies Act 2006(1) comes into force for all purposes, the reference to “wholly owned subsidiary” in section 79 of the Solicitors Act 1974(2), as substituted by paragraph 71 of Schedule 16, is to be read as a reference to that term as defined in section 736 of the Companies Act 1985(3).
