Commencement of provisions

2.  The following provisions of the Pensions Act 2008 come into force on 3rd January 2012—

(a)section 49 (monitoring of employers’ payments to personal pension schemes) in so far as it relates to the powers to make regulations under section 111A of the Pension Schemes Act 1993(1), for the purposes only of making regulations;

(b)section 104 (additional pension etc: minor and consequential amendments) in so far as it relates to the provisions listed in paragraph (c) of this article;

(c)in Schedule 4—

(i)paragraph 1 in so far as it relates to the provisions listed in sub-paragraphs (ii) to (xii) of this paragraph,

(ii)paragraphs 2 and 3,

(iii)paragraph 4(1) in so far as it relates to the provisions listed in sub-paragraph (iv) of this paragraph,

(iv)paragraph 4(2) and (3), except for sub-paragraphs (2)(b) and (3)(b) in so far as they relate to Schedule 4C to the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992(2),

(v)paragraph 5,

(vi)paragraph 6(1) in so far as it relates to paragraph 6(2),

(vii)paragraph 6(2),

(viii)paragraph 7, except for sub-paragraph (a),

(ix)paragraph 8, except for sub-paragraph (a),

(x)paragraph 9(1) in so far as it relates to the provisions listed in sub-paragraph (xi) of this paragraph,

(xi)paragraph 9(2) and (3), except for sub-paragraph (2)(c),

(xii)paragraphs 11 and 12.

1993 c.48. Section 111A was inserted by section 9 of the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999 (c.30); there have been other amendments to section 111A that are not relevant to the making of regulations under that section.
