3.—(1) The amendments made by Schedule 2 to the Presumption of Death Act 2013 have effect subject to paragraphs (2) and (3).
(2) Section 19 of the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973 (presumption of death and dissolution of marriage)(1) continues to have effect in relation to any petition presented to the court under subsection (1) of that section before 1st October 2014.
(3) Section 222 of the Civil Partnership Act 2004 (proceedings for presumption of death order)(2) continues to have effect, in relation to an application for a presumption of death order made before 1st October 2014, as if it had not been amended by paragraph 3 of Schedule 2 to the Presumption of Death Act 2013.
1973 c. 18. Section 19 was amended by the Domicile and Matrimonial Proceedings Act 1973 (c.45), section 17(2), Schedule 6, and by the Family Law Act 1996 (c. 27), section 66(1), Schedule 8.
