34.—(1) The Firefighters’ Pension Scheme (England) Regulations 2014(1) are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 3 (interpretation)—
(a)omit the definition of “additional paternity leave”;
(b)in the definition of “child related leave”—
(i)omit paragraph (e);
(ii)at the end insert of paragraph (f) insert “or”;
(iii)at the end insert—
“(g)shared parental leave;”;
(c)in the definition of “statutory pay”—
(i)in paragraph (c) omit “ordinary”;
(ii)omit paragraph (d);
(iii)at the end insert—
“(e)statutory shared parental pay within the meaning section 171ZU (entitlement: birth) and section 171ZV (entitlement: adoption) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992;”
(d)at the appropriate place there is inserted—
““shared parental leave” means leave under the Shared Parental Leave Regulations 2014;”.
(3) In regulation 18 (meaning of “assumed pensionable pay”), in paragraph (2)—
(a)in sub-paragraph (c)—
(i)after “additional maternity leave,” insert “shared parental leave or”
(ii)omit “or additional paternity leave”;
(b)in sub-paragraph (e)—
(i)after “additional maternity leave” insert “or shared parental leave”;
(ii)omit “or additional paternity leave”.
(4) In regulation 113 (contributions during child-related leave), in paragraph (3)—
(a)omit “additional paternity leave,”;
(b)after “additional adoption leave” insert “, shared parental leave”.
