Amendments to Schedule 2 to the 2012 Order
8. In Schedule 2 (absent voting), in paragraph 1 (manner of voting at PCC elections), after sub-paragraph (5), insert—
“(5A) In sub-paragraph (5), a reference to a constable includes a person designated as a community support officer under section 38 of the Police Reform Act 2002 (police powers for civilian staff)(1).”

2002 c.30; section 38 was amended by section 120 of, paragraphs 179 and 181 of Schedule 4 to, and Part 2 of Schedule 17 to, the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 (c.15), section 7 of and paragraphs 1 and 2 of Schedule 5 to the Police and Justice Act 2006 (c.48), paragraph 125 of Schedule 7 and Part 13 of Schedule 8 to the Policing and Crime Act 2009 (c.26) and paragraphs 277 and 292 of Schedule 16 to the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 (c.13).
