6. Despite the repeal of the European Parliamentary Elections Act 2002 M1 by the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018, Schedule 1 to that Act (electoral regions in England and Gibraltar) continues to have effect [F1on and after 31st December 2020] as it had effect immediately before that day for the purposes of the definition of “electoral region” in section 8(1) of the European Parliament (Pay and Pensions) Act 1979 M2.
