An Act to repeal Article 64(8) of the Children (Northern Ireland) Order 1995.

BE IT ENACTED by being passed by the Northern Ireland Assembly and assented to by Her Majesty as follows:
1. In the Children (Northern Ireland) Order 1995 (NI 2) paragraph (8) of Article 64 (which prevents an application for the discharge of an emergency protection order being heard by a court within 72 hours of the making of the order) is repealed.
2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Children (Emergency Protection Orders) Act (Northern Ireland) 2007.
(2) This Act shall come into operation on Royal Assent.
