1. This Order may be cited as the Superannuation (Chief Electoral Officer for Northern Ireland) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006 and shall come into operation on 25th October 2006.
2. Article 3 of the Superannuation (Chief Electoral Officer for Northern Ireland) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006 is revoked with effect from 1st April 2006.

This Order removes the office of the Chief Electoral Officer for Northern Ireland from those offices listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972 for which the Department of Finance and Personnel may make pension schemes. It has retrospective effect from 1st April 2006 by virtue of Article 3(7) of that Order.
