The Department for Regional Development, in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 204(1) of the Water and Sewerage Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006(1), makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Metering (Prescribed Consumer) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2007.
2. For the purposes of Article 204 of the Water and Sewerage Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006, a consumer is a person 60 years of age or older.
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations define prescribed consumers who are eligible to apply to have a meter installed.
