These Regulations amend the Avian Influenza (H5N1 in Poultry) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007 (S.R. 2007 No. 207) and the Avian Influenza (H5N1 in Wild Birds) Regulations 2007 (S.R. 2007 No. 208) to add raw petfood to the lists of by-products which can be moved under the authority of a licence issued by the Department under these Regulations. The Regulations also amend the Avian Influenza (Preventive Measures) Regulations 2007 (S.R. 2007 No. 70) to require that the keeper of poultry notifies the Department in writing of details of the particulars notified to the Department under regulation 5(1) within 30 days of any request by notice from the Department.
A Regulatory Impact Assessment has not been produced for this rule as no additional impact on the private or voluntary sectors are foreseen.
