The Department of Finance and Personnel makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6(5) of the Rates (Amendment) Act (Northern Ireland) 2009(1).
1. This Order may be cited as the Rates (Information Requirement) (Appointed Day) Order (Northern Ireland) 2011.
2. 1st November 2011 is the day appointed for the purposes of section 6(5) of the Rates (Amendment) Act (Northern Ireland) 2009.

Section 6(5) of the Rates (Amendment) Act (Northern Ireland) 2009 extended the power of the Department of Finance and Personnel (“the Department”) to require information in respect of hereditaments subject to unoccupied rating to all domestic property until such day as the Department by order appoints. This Order appoints 1st November 2011.
